Malaysia 2005 DDR 50 SEN - Class II Distorted Hub Doubling

For the last 2 weeks, I found 2pcs 2005 coin which I'm doubtful about it as a DDR as people told me. Then I just put it there together with others DD coins in a small box. Today, I was very free and take a pictures to share with my FB friends. To my surprise, they said "2005 DDR!!!". I thought they were just kidding with me. Then i put the coin under my digital microscope and see it. Hmm.... other parts of the coins seems to have doubling. I think I really found the DDR 2005. There should be 2 kind of 2005 DDR. I think i've already passed a lots of DD of this kind. When I saw it last time, i just put it back to my together with my scanned coins. I'll now rated this coin as Class II - Distorted Hub Doubling. Class II is characterized by having a spread along the outside devices from deepest to lightest hubbings, which goes toward the Center or towards the Edge of the coin. Right now I'm going to present this DDR in this blog.

Malaysia 1984 50SEN DDO. 5 Types???

Now I'll show another 50 SEN DDO 1984. I was told that the 1984 50 SEN have doubling on the GC and on the "gerigi". So I started to ransacking for 50 SEN year 1984 (I've lots of 1st series coin). And yes, I've found 1 pcs of that. Below, I'll show the original 50sen 1984 and 1984 50 SEN DDO.

                                                                    Original  Reverse

                                                                    Original Obverse

Now, below is the "GC and the gerigi" doubling photo. Purely on the GC and the gerigi. Close up pictures and will be compared to each others.

                                                               Reverse of 1984 DDO

                                                               Obverse of 1984 DDO

So this is the reserved and the obversed of the DDO 50 SEN 1984. Can't see?? It's ok, I'll closed up the pictures and do the comparison.

                                                                     Original  Pictures

                                                          Type I. Doubled Die Pictures

Now we can see the difference. The GC and the gerigi was clearly separated. There was no separation on others place. And this DDO I would like to called it as Type 1 DDO 50 SEN 1984. There are photo will be shown below for others type of 1984 DDO. Looks out for more below. I'll show another type of doubling for 1984.
Reverse of the Type II 1984 DDO

Obverse of the Type II 1984 DDO

Ok. Right now, what so special about this? The GC is not doubling but the gerigi is. Then the star beside the moon is doubling a bit. The pictures too small. Let me closed up the pictures.

Type II.  The pictures show doubling on gerigi. But no doubling of GC.

Type II. This is the original pictures of the star and the moon.

Type II. Look at the stars... 3 sticks of it showing doubling

Quite a nice find right? So far I haven't saw any collector showing out these kind of Doubled Die coin yet. Not to say much more, I'm going to show more 1984 DDO type. Lets go to the type III of the 1984 50 SEN DDO.

Reverse of the Type III 1984 DDO

Obverse of the Type III 1984 DDO

Now, what is the problem with type III for this coin. The GC and gerigi is doubling. So are the star. But only 2 sticks of it is doubling. Let me show the closed up pictures.

Type III.  This picture showed that the gerigi and GC is doubling.

Type III. Only 2 sticks from the star is doubling.

Now the type IV is coming up. It's same with type III. But the difference is that the GC is not doubling.

Type IV. Gerigi is doubling. GC not doubling.

Type IV. The star doubling is same as Type III.

Now the last part for this 1984 DDO 50 SEN, Type V. It's doubling on gerigi and GC, but on GC there are not too clear as the coin is worn. On the star, there are 4 sticks of it showing doubling. upper side of the moon is also showing a slight doubling. Let's go and view the photo below.

Type V. The star doubling on 4 sticks and a slight doubling on the upper moon side

Type V. Gerigi and GC is also Doubling.

Now thats for 5 types of 1984 DDO being displayed. I hope that there will be some Master of Doubled Die coin explaining why there are so many types of DD on a year with all being slightly different. As a newbie, I was hoping that there will be more comment on this topic for me to learn. That's all for today and HAPPY VIEWVING :)
